Security is ongoing work.
Plervo Suite and Plervo PDF are experimental alpha software. Public installers currently support Mac with Apple Silicon.
Checks before installation
The Suite accepts packages only from the official Plervo release repository. Before installing PDF, it checks the SHA-256, bundle identifier, full version, Maintech developer signature and Gatekeeper assessment. The previous app is preserved until its replacement is ready. Downgrades are refused. Uninstall moves only the app to Trash; if that fails, it stays installed. Documents and preferences are kept.
What we test
Automated checks cover the release catalogue, downloads, interrupted transfers, cancellation, rollback, signatures, versions and language selection. The Mac installer also goes through Apple notarization and malware scanning. PDF editing, save/reopen, forms, encryption and redaction are tested with synthetic documents. The previous PDF baseline completed 188,495 fuzz runs in 15 minutes with no observed crash or hang; that is a test result, not a security guarantee.
Official packages
The Mac publisher is Maintech Solutions LLC. Get installers and SHA-256 checksums from the official alpha release. The Suite manages PDF updates; updates to the Suite itself come from this website.
Known limits
Use copies of important documents. Clean-machine Mac installation and wider device coverage still need testing. Windows awaits SignPath approval and native Suite acceptance; Linux Suite acceptance is also pending. PDF OCR currently targets English. Some Chinese and Telugu PDF interface characters may need system font fallback. The Suite interface supports English, Portuguese and Spanish, selected from the operating system by default.
No audit or malware scan guarantees the absence of vulnerabilities. Read the release notes for the exact tested scope.
Report a vulnerability
Use the private security channel on GitHub and choose “Report a vulnerability”. Include the version, operating system and steps using a test document. Never post passwords or personal documents in public issues.
